This enables the PLM consulting and software house to expand its know-how in a field that is of vital importance to the automotive industry in particular with regard to e-mobility and autonomous driving. The two companies intend to continue to operate as separate entities while presenting a united front in the market. Their shared aim is to provide existing customers with an even wider range of consulting services and solutions and to attract new customers with new topics such as design, requirements engineering, software quality assurance and application management in the context of PLM-E/E. The two companies also intend to collaborate more closely on research projects involving the verification and validation of autonomous driving functions such as SetLevel and V&V.
Bartscher & Hasenäcker Consulting was founded three years ago with the aim of providing companies in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries with comprehensive support for the conceptual design and implementation of PLM for mechatronic and E/E-rich products. The company's two founders have nevertheless been involved in the consulting business for quite some time. The young company, which has grown rapidly and now boasts 33 employees, counts major carmakers such as Daimler among its customers.
When it comes to large customer projects, the experts for PLM in electrical/electronic and software development have been working together with PROSTEP for years, as Managing Director Philipp Hasenäcker says: "It therefore made sense to move our relationship to a new level with a stake in the company. PROSTEP's backing makes it easier for us, as a small consulting firm, to compete in the marketplace."
Bartscher & Hasenäcker Consulting will continue to operate independently on the market under its own name. Philipp Hasenäcker will conduct business alone in future as his long-standing partner, Dr. Thomas Bartscher, is withdrawing from the operational side of business in order to tackle new challenges. He will, however, continue to provide the company with advice for some time to come.
PROSTEP AG expects its investment in Bartscher & Hasenäcker Consulting to strengthen its market position as a vendor-neutral PLM consulting and software house, as Chairman of the Executive Board Dr. Bernd Pätzold emphasized. "The combination of our wide-ranging experience in PLM consulting, systems integration, migration and collaboration and Bartscher & Hasenäcker's specialized expertise in E/E and software development offers our customers considerable benefits when it comes to digitalizing their business processes. Now we are truly 100% PLM."
